Fantastic spot in an upscale ‘food court’ (sorry, that really doesn’t reflect the range of eateries here) Friendly staff willing to help with suggestions, and drink pairings. You can eat in or take out and eat in the communal area.
The Arctic Journey was one of the best plates of food I’ve had in a long time! 10/10 Gluten-free moose burger was delicious! The Tapas was a unique and enjoyable taste exploration.
Delicious variety of moose, reindeer and whale meats served with grilled vegetables, mushrooms and purée. Reindeer meat reminds me a bit of pastrami (basturma) taste and I liked it the most. Recommended place to try something wild 😋

Our first day in Norway, we were looking for a good restaurant serving traditional Norwegian fare; this place met the requirements and was within walking distance of our Airbnb. It’s located within the Mathallen Food hall, and has its own seating area inside, which was quite nice. We had a little trouble initially finding it, just because we were coming from the nw side. All I can say is wow. The Reindeer Stew was remarkable - creamy, rich, and savory, melt in your mouth, not gamey. My moose burger was tender and delicious. Also not gamey tasting. Fries were good. My Pink Gin and Tonic was refreshing. The 1664 Blanc became my husband’s on-tap go-to while in Scandinavia when there wasn’t a Weiss bier available.
I had the pleasure of dining at HELT VILT (Completely Wild), and it was truly an exceptional experience. The concept is unique — bringing together authentic Norwegian flavors with a creative twist. The focus on wild game and local ingredients really sets this place apart.

I wanted to try something different and wine tfor the Artic Journey. It was my first day in Oslo so I was a bit surprised by the portion size but I enjoyed the dish and different steaks very much. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Me and my wife ordered in a rush before our flight, and the food came really quickly. We went as this was one of the only places that served moose, and I'm really glad I got to try it.
I will say for the large crowd in the restaurant and staff being at bare minimum, they were able to manage all guests with ease. The service was amazing, the food was amazing. I had chosen to try the arctic journey, and when the dish was delivered, they were more than glad to explain every part of it, which made the meal feel even more special and might I add absolutely delicious! I would recommend anyone visiting Oslo to go try them out, they will not be disappointed!
